“Years of history telling the story of the life and times of the fort. Well explained, with film and pictures to help. Easy to get around with a lift to the three levels. Cafe for when you want a rest, as it could take time to see everything but well worth it.”

“Really great place for young and old. Even if you are disabled a lift is there to take you to the top of the fort. Fantastic views over Weymouth and Portland. Lovely cafe too.”

“Well worth a visit to see how the fort was used as a defensive position since the early Victorian era. Fantastic views of Weymouth and Portland from the top. Good walking boots or shoes are recommended as there are plenty of steps. The Matchstick Fleet was on display during our visit and will be back on display mid to late August. We also had a cream tea in the cafe – nice to eat scones that haven’t been overladen with raising agent.”
