“We love going to Mottisfont Abbey and Gardens. Nice old converted abbey with lots of history and wonderful grounds and a walled garden full of old roses and herbaceous plants. They have a nice cafe, snack cabin and National Trust shop. There are plenty of places to picnic and loads of room for children to enjoy the day. The walk by the trout river is tranquil and when its hot a nice place to cool off. I would recommend it to anyone.
Dogs on lead are allowed.”

“The gardens and the house are wonderful. Walks in the grounds are also lovely. The house was an abbey and it’s so interesting to see its conversion from abbey to house. The trust maintain properties so well and make them so interesting and accessible for visitors. Lots of catering options here – all were very good. Really great day out. Roses are a highlight too.”

“Cant believe i have never been here before! Maybe its because I have just become a National Trust member! Arrived and the car park was so busy but once inside it didnt feel as though there were that many people around. Was lovely you can take dogs (some areas they are banned like the house) The gardens are beautiful and will be going back every couple of months to see the different flowers out. The house is charming so lovely, my favourite was upstairs in the servants area so quaint, I think I was born in the wrong era I would have loved one of those rooms in a lovely house.”
