“This tiny cottage was the home of Lawrence of Arabia and is much as it was when he lived there. It is masculine and practical

And gives you a small insight into this amazing man. The gardens are lovely and it is worth taking a walk up the hill to see the views. The gardens have recently been cut back but are still nice. The garage where he kept his Brough Motorbike is full of interesting facts and information and you can also make a drink for a small donation. There is a car park but it is quite small. Opens Tuesday to Sunday.”

“There is so much of interest relating to T E Lawrence in this tiny retreat that you come away thinking that you are so glad to have visited.”

“Somewhere I had wanted to visit for a long time and was not disappointed, although small it is very interesting and evocative. The unusual story of Lawrence is told here through his belongings and the very good and knowledgable National Trust stewards. Well worth a visit.”
